Family Fun -
With a scenic view, a beautiful
picnic area, a large creative playground, a farm animal corral and free
hayrides, a visit to Andrews' Scenic Acres is a pleasurable family
occasion. As we are a local destination we have been enjoying community
visitors since 1980. From our first day to the present, the number one
attraction for our farm has been the nearly unstoppable desire of all
ages to hop onto the tractor drawn hay wagon and ride to the field for
in season pick your own produce. At Andrews' farm there is always
something to pick from May 1 to Oct 31. Please check our Seasonal Calendar to find the approximate
ripening dates for fruit, vegetables and flowers that are grown on the
farm. These crops as well as other local crops are also available ready
picked in the farm market. Please check out our Farm Market to discover our other healthy
and delicious options.
We have a range of food, drink and
snacks in the farm market and BBQ area so there is little need to bring
your own food and drink unless for dietary considerations. Our most
famous and popular item is our frozen yogurt and ice cream made with
your choice of Andrews' berries and fruit. If families or groups do choose to bring
their own picnic food and drink to the farm, a $4.00 per person
admission fee will be charged.
Our very popular BBQ operates daily
during the summer and on Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays during the
spring and fall. Available on the BBQ are beef Ball Park hotdogs,
Oktoberfest pork sausages, veggie burgers and veggie samosas. Starting
in late July or early August, we also have available hot buttered super
sweet corn on the cob. Sweet corn grown on our farm is cooked in a turn
of the century iron kettle formerly used for boiling maple syrup. There
is nothing quite like Andrews' super fresh, super sweet corn on the cob.
Starting September 15th we also have
available our gently haunted forest, straw mountain jump and cornfield
walk. To cover the cost of these additional attractions, we charge
$4.00 per person from September 15th to October 31st for admission to the farm area and the many family fun activities. During the rest of the year there may be a $1.00 admission fee to the farm area. Family Fun Entertainment Farming has its own unique challenges and costs. We have held the line on Pick Your Own prices. The number one fall attraction continues to be the wagon
ride to the pumpkin picking field where everyone can select their
favourite pumpkin, whether it is 5 or 80 pounds. There is no charge for
entrance to the farm market and winery at any time of the year.
Pony rides are available on
Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays throughout the picking season. If you
are planning a birthday or special occasion that includes
